#Top40Songs2012 by Sam Skilton
It’s powerful, it’s political, and it’s rock and roll at its finest. Hailing from Dunfermline and combining Kasabian-esque guitar riffs with Britpop swagger, Modern Faces look increasingly likely to succeed as Britain’s next big band. Having already attracted widespread notice and supported Kasabian, The Charlatans, The Twang, The View, Shed 7 and The Rifles, 2013 could be their year. ‘Pravda Scrolls’ and its striking video provides a glimpse of what we can expect, and frontman Monty (Lee Montgomery) is hoping that they can replicate the meteoric rise of Arctic Monkeys nearly a decade ago.
