Top 40 Songs of 2012: The Moons – Jennifer (Sits Alone)

#Top40Songs2012 by Sam Skilton
In an interview for Fred Perry in October, recently knighted Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins revealed that he spent much of the summer listening to The Moons. “When I was on the Tour, I was there with my photographer Scott who’s also a photographer for The Moons,” he said. “We were listening to the promo of The Moons new album a lot. Songs like ‘English Summer’ and ‘Jennifer’. That became a bit of a soundtrack for the third week of the Tour for us, and the Olympics.” If it’s good enough to inspire Britain’s greatest sporting hero of 2012, then it’s good enough to inspire us to include it in our Top 40 Songs of 2012, too.
