Top 40 Songs of 2012: Reverend and the Makers – Out of the Shadows

#Top40Songs2012 by Sam Skilton
This is a modern sound for a modern age. Reverend and the Makers returned this year with undoubtedly their most experimental album to date. ‘@Reverend_Makers’ succeeds where Muse failed in venturing into the scary world of dubstep, adopts electronic basslines, none more obviously than in the track ‘Bassline’ itself, but retains enough of the band’s old sound to keep everybody happy. ‘Out of the Shadows’ is the ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’ of 2012.
