Top 40 Songs of 2012: Echo Raptors – Plastic People

#Top40Songs2012 by Sam Skilton
Echo Raptors certainly have big aspirations. Influenced by The Beatles to Kasabian, and everything in-between, the Belfast four-piece adopt a familiar Britpop cockiness – describing themselves as “the future of rock and roll”. While bands have been left with egg on their faces having made similar statements in the past, this lot seem to have the music to back it up. ‘Plastic People’ wouldn’t sound out of place on ‘Definitely Maybe’.
