Warning! Those prone to epileptic seizures should probably avoid watching this video. Those not should definitely give it a shot, for this is the Modfather at his experimental best. It seems that there wasn’t a single major music review which failed to mention Krautrock when describing ‘Sonik Kicks’ in 2012 – Rolling Stone did, The Guardian did, Uncut did, NME did – and ‘Green’ was the main protagonist for this; its buzzing synthetics proving irresistible. Earlier in the year Weller told Q Magazine “drugs can be creative”. This is perhaps a prime example of that.
