Top 40 Songs of 2012: The Novatones – Living for the Weekend

#Top40Songs2012 by Sam Skilton
It may have originally been released back in 2011, but when we discovered The Novatones last year ‘Living for the Weekend’ was an instant National Brit Rock favourite. The four-piece, who reached the final of ‘Live and Unsigned’ in 2010, have supported the likes of From The Jam, Twisted Wheel and The Pigeon Detectives. And with raw and passionate live performances, it’s no surprise that they have been gaining attention. “It’s just guitars plugged in a fucking going for it,” said lead guitarist Tony Smith.
You can hear more from The Novatones soon in an exclusive interview for National Brit Rock recorded in November 2012, or for now you can find out more about the band here.
