Top 40 Songs of 2012: Chet Faker – No Diggity

#Top40Songs2012 by Meka Beresford
Chet Faker is a bearded Australian man with a flawless talent at taking hardcore tails of the criminal mind and making them as beautiful as the place he lives. Faker has transformed Dr Dre’s hit from ’96, ‘No Diggity’, by bravely stripping away the strong piano riff and making it smoother than a frictionless surface. This down-tempo, feel-good, electronic soul track features on Faker’s LP ‘Thinking in Textures’, which won ‘Best Independent Single/EP’ at the Australian Independent Record Awards.
Released: 19 June 2012
